Fine Living Homes :: Our Process

Your Investment

Fine Living Homes, LLC has developed an easy to use pricing methodology that allows us to quickly determine the investment for a new home.  The initial investment is based on standard floor plans and specifications on one of our or your home-site.  The initial investment includes the materials and labor to construct your home per the base plan and specification.  Other costs that must be included in the total investment include the home-site and site-specific costs, i.e. landscaping, septic, well or sewer hook-up charges, and building permits.  Finally, Fine Living Homes offers over 400 different options to customize your home.

Below is an overview of the client manual provided to you by Fine Living Homes.

Purchasing Your Home     After the Design process is complete, we will prepare a Purchase Agreement for your project.  Please read the Purchase Agreement and all attachments carefully.  We will assist you with any questions you may have.  Once all the paperwork is signed, we suggest you insert those documents in Section 2, “ Purchasing Your Home”, of this manual, for safekeeping.

Applying for Your Loan  Once the non-contingent Purchase Agreement has been signed, arranging the details for financing is next.  To assist you, we may suggest lenders that will be appropriate for your specific financial situation.  Section 3, “Applying for Your Loan”, contains hints and information on the loan process.

Your New Home Selections  Section 4 of this manual will assist you in the exciting process of customizing your new home with your personal selections.  Where time frames are specified, it is vital that they be observed in order for us to stay on schedule for you.

Construction of Your New Home  We will invite you to tour your new home at several points during construction.  We also expect and welcome your casual visits to the site.  Please read Section 5, “Construction of Your Home” for comments on safety, security, insurance requirements, and work in progress.

Homeowner Orientation   has two purposes.  The first is to demonstrate the features of your home and discuss maintenance and limited warranties.  Equally important, we want to confirm that we have delivered your new home at the same level of quality shown in our models, with all your selections correctly installed.  For detailed information review “Homeowner Orientation”, which is Section 6.

Closing on Your Home  The documents you will sign and other important details about the closing process are discussed in “Closing on Your Home,” Section 7 of this manual.  Guidelines to assist you in preparing for closing and move-in are included.
